I have been working to focus now on a comic style of different body parts. I’ve always enjoy comics growing up, and when I got my digital drawing pad, I was excited to get started. Plot twist: it’s hard. It’s really hard to use. The combination of hand eye coordination with the fact that you’re not using a real pen is really difficult for the mind to understand. It’s definitely something where practice makes perfect. I’ve had this drawing pad for years, but I haven’t touched it in along time, and picking it back up has been quite difficult. Nonetheless I’ve continued, and it’s been fun.
For references I’ve been trying to use real-life instead of pictures that I found online because it’s better practice, so I’ve been getting my roommate pose for me for both this study and the hand study. I appreciate her a lot for having the patience to do so.
