Something I’ve been delving into throughout the duration of this course is using twitter for education purposes. I’ve been using it to connect with both teachers, fellow classmates, and people I look up to in the education world.
Unfortunately, I was unable to make the Twitter chat on Thursday, but I tried to inform myself as much as possible about so that I could be in the loop about what everyone was talking about. I tried to reply to my peers along with Dr. Roberts’ prompts. I think through my interactions, I’ve built a better understanding of how twitter is used in an educational way. It’s can be used to share resources and teaching philosophies remotely, which is so important. This is especially relevant with the current switch to open and distributed learning practices in response to the pandemic. This connects to the learning outcome “practice digital, networked, and open literacies in support of learning about distributed and open learning”.
